Hello, I'm Nicky, singer and slapbassist from Ghost Bastards. We are a band from Buenos Aires, Argentina! We started 5 years ago, have 2 Eps and singles out, working on new songs for an upcoming album.


We played in almost any psychobilly show here in Buenos Aires since then, as we went on tour and play in Chile and Brazil. In Chile we shared stage with Phantom Rockers from UK, such a great and legendary band, and with many awesome local bands such as: Psychopath Sacrament, Astrobillys, Diablos Suicidas and Surfin Carambas. Chile has a bit more and old psychobilly culture so the bands have some years on the road now.



At Brazil we played at Psycho Carnival, our latin american most famous Psychobilly holiday, and we shared stage with so many awesome bands such as Os Catalepticos, Sick Sick Sinners, Guana Batz, Cenobites, Fish'n Creepers, and many many more. It was unbelieveble! 


Here in Argentina we got in these years some awesome shows where we played with some bands such as Gatos Zombies from Ecuador, Mongo and Fish'n Creepers from Brazil, just to mention a few, and here we are finally starting to see some psychobilly movement with bands like Jinetes Fantasmas (the first psychobilly band from here), Rancho Relaxo, Los Cianuros (I play doublebass here!), Sick Bay, The Mancos, and some more.

As a psychobilly fan I'm really happy that bands all over latin america are taking the psycho flag and create their own mad music... There are many new bands from Mexico, Ecuador, Colombia (the even have a great International Festival there), Chile and of course Brazil (the first south american psychobilly spot).

Here in Argentina we enjoy playing and being part of Oleada Psycho, a psychobilly weekender made in Mar del Plata, our most famous aragentinian beach, always with 3 nights of rock and roll mixing rockabilly, psychobilly, surf music, garage rock music, all mixed up with some drinks and friends from all around. We are so happy to be part of this growing scene and family.

As we speak, we are taking last details of our Ghost Bastards European Tour called 'Euro Bas-Tour' that's gonna take place at Holland, Belgium and Deutschland. And it's gonna be almost all June of 2022. We are so excited about this and willing to hear from all the psychobilly people around.

PHANTOM CREEP FEST WEEKENDER

 Phantom Creep Fest Weekender Otto’s Shrunken Head, Manhattan, NYC Friday 25th October Our Wicked Lady, Brooklyn, NYC Saturday 26th October Otto’s Shrunken Head in downtown Manhattan is a bit of a Mecca for all things Tiki, music and good times. Mike Decay (is it too soon to call him legendary?) regularly puts on bands and DJ sets here as part of his monthly Midnite Monster Hop events that have been running for the last 25 years. However, it’s his annual Phantom Creep Fest Weekender that we’re here for. At past events you might have seen some familiar faces such as the Surfin’ Wombatz and Screaming Rebel Angels. Tonight though we were being treated to a couple of DJ sets from Bal Croce (The Sting-Rays) and Susan Lewis (The Meteors, The Tall Boys). It was also an opportunity to catch up with friends from both sides of the pond.  10.01.2025 Paapan Kapakka, Tampere STENARI & THE SNAKEOIL COMPANY Aina on luvassa mukavan leppoista ja maanläheistä menoa, kun Stenari astuu lavalle yksin tai yhdessä huikean bändinsä kera. "Onko tämä cowboy musiikkia" kysyi eräs leidi, kun istuin vapaaseen pöytään. No siinäpä oli hyvä pelin avaus kolmen toisilleen vieraan ihmisen kesken. Yritin selittää, että jos tietää Johnny Cash herran, niin sinne suuntaan on kallellaan illan musiikki. Kun kyseisen leidin kaveri saapui Tapparan pelistä pöytään, niin hän kysyi samoin sanoin "onko tämä bändi cowboy musiikkia"🤭 jo vain olihan se ja paljon muuta. Kahden huippusetin aikana; jotka minä todistin; pureuduttiin tärkeisiin asioihin kuten mm rakkaaseen tyttäreen, miehet ovat sikoja, paholaisen pois hätistämiseen, junien tuhoamiseen, kännissä ajamiseen ja kaikkeen muuhun arkipäiväiseen normi ihmisten elämään.  Garage/Trash hits hardly to Great Britain:                     SUSAN LEWIS : You are on that lucky generation that have possibility to see all these big youth music movements from teddy boy rocknroll revival, born of punk music to rockabilly boom and psychobilly invasion and same time big bang of garage and trash music. What memories you do have bout all this happenings and how those things changed youth way of thinking and their way of life? The first thing I was into as kid was Rock n Roll. When I first started to like music, there were a lot of Buddy Holly and Eddie Cochran 10th anniversary records, to commemorate their lives.
